Ballina is home to one of the most prestigious Irish Summer Festivals. The Ballina Street and International Arts Festival attracts in excess of 150,000 people from all around the world every year.
It has now become one of the most vibrant and diverse festivals in Ireland today. It is a weeklong festival incorporating many different events culminating in a spectacular Mardi Gra and Fireworks display on the last night.
On the 8th of July the Cycleau project held a water management event known as the “The Moy Experience” in conjunction with Street and Arts festival. The event was fun day out with many activities for the whole family. These included kids activities, Irish dance and music, boat race and duck race as well as many more. The event also incorporated the theme of water management and awareness of the problems facing the country to date. A water management quiz was held and literature on water management was on show throughout the day.
